Professional tailor and patternmaker Jeffery Diduch created a nice little guide on how to properly measure garments. This is useful if you ever want to purchase made-to-measure clothes online, or if you want to sell clothes on eBay or StyleForum. You can see the full guide here. 

Note, if you’re buying online made-to-measure clothes, sometimes companies will have their own ways they want you to measure, so it’s best to always check with them first. The above is pretty much the convention though, from my experience.

Everything about this is ideal and I can’t deny hoping it was all inspired by one of my favorite movies, Leon: The Professional.

I admit the main connection to this hope are the glasses and cap combo, notably from so many scenes and the promotional poster. Though I’m sure fictional Leon would also be into a double breasted black jacket on black on black on black on black…

With that being said, the clean Common Projects: Achilles on his feet can’t be ignored either. Personally I have a hard time justifying all white $400 sneakers and would aim for a more reasonable alternative from Converse or Tretorn. Though as a contract killer, I could see dropping $400 on a new pair after every completed job easily. Leon on the other hand would realize this to be traceable by his competitors and instead order them from Amazon under some ridiculous alias like “Larry” or perhaps “Sven” even.

….but I digress and seek the benefit from my morning caffeine.
